The new art institution
International Kunstverein Luxembourg will present as first official activity a solo show of the Italian artist Paolo Cirio, living and working in New York. Starting from October 15th 2016, a new appropriation of his
STREET GHOSTS can be discovered in the public space of Luxembourg City during three months.
The Luxembourgish issue of
STREET GHOSTS form a circuit of 35 different silhouettes of pedestrians, who were caught by the camera of the Google Street View car and reappear now as life-size images at the original places. These pedestrians have a second undetermined, public existence in the Internet, of which most of them are not conscious at all.
Paolo Cirio has performed his
STREET GHOSTS concept at several places worldwide since 2012. The
International Kunstverein Luxembourg is happy to be supported by the City of Luxembourg, Ouevre nationale secours Grande Duchesse Charlotte and LaLux. The Luxembourg Tourist office (www.lcto.lu) and the International Kunstverein Luxembourg provide further information on their websites, moreover a folder will available with all places in town to discover:
STREET GHOSTS.
